Julestunes

I'm a songwriter, been making them up in my head as long as I remember. The name is Jule. Pronounced Yule in Norway. Spent my life working mostly as a carpenter building houses  to support our family through the years. Have been a musician and writer for years, but didn't have time to pusue my music earlier in my life - had to work every day! The wife and I created and raised 5 of  the greatest children ever, and it takes alot of love, time, and work to accomplish this feat.  So, my feat now, is to find out if my songs, some written 30 years ago, and some just last week, are worthy. That, my friends, will be up to you. 

  THE PAST

     The Great Lake State was my birthplace and home for many years. I grew up on a farm in the fertile soil of 'The Thumb' and still love to farm to this day. But above all, my love of music was honed throughout my childhood. My Great Grandfather was a vaudville entertainer and I can still hear my father singing  Jimmy Rodgers and playing his Silvertone electric guitar and amp. I was raised on the old country classics. This is when I developed my 'ear' for music. Whether it be Roy Acuff or Mozart (my mom loved classical) there's always been a song playing in my head! This life has taken me from Michigan to Texas to Alabama to Florida to Alaska and back again. Can't wait to see where it leads me next!

THE TIME HAS COME

     The songs I have written are based on my life and my family. My writing style is based on my musical tastes and the musicians I enjoy to listen to, which is quite varied. From all the older country stars to modern rock and classical, including opera, I am truly a music lover. I guess most of my songs would be classified as, country or folk music, with a rock and roll aroma. So, please check out my acoustic album! I think you'll like it!
